  • Xavier Campbell did not know what getting out looked like, at least not on Tuesday, going 3-for-3 in game two with a double against Toppers pitching.

  • Rashid Muhammad drove home the only two runs of the doubleheader in a single swing, bringing both Malik Berrien and T. Howard around to score.

  • What Campbell did at the plate on the backend of the twin-bill, Matthew LeBlanc had a similar stat line in the opener, managing a 2-for-2 showing (both singles) as he also swiped a bag.

  • Christian Hill reached base thrice in the first contest, being one of two players to draw multiple walks (Kyrent Cole being the other) while also notching a hit.

  • Mykelti Jordan and Tyler Keys were both lights out at the backend of the pen, combining to throw four scoreless innings with just a single walk as their only blemish in addition to three strikeouts.

Next:

  • Gulf Coast Athletic Conference competition begins its second season in northern Mississippi on Saturday as the Baseball Bearcats begin a three-game series with the Talladega Tornadoes in Alabama with first pitch of a doubleheader starting at 11:30 a.m. and the final matchup being Sunday at noon.
