Bio

Venecca Green was named the Head Coach of the Men’s and Women’s Tennis programs in 2024. Rust is fortunate to have her as she is a proven leader in competitive tennis and youth development. She also brings a championship pedigree and a deep commitment to mentorship. She led her previous team to victory in the 2023 Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) State Championship and has guided five squads to Junior Team Tennis (JTT) State Championship finals.
 
A certified USTA Level 2 Coach and graduate of the prestigious USTA Coaching Leadership Internship in Orlando, Coach Green is recognized nationally for her innovative approach to coaching and player development. Off the court, she is the founder of Friends of Battlefield Park NJTL, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding tennis access for underserved communities across Mississippi. Her impact was formally honored by the City of Holly Springs in May 2025 for her contributions to youth empowerment and community engagement.
 
At Rust College, Coach Green is already making waves—recruiting top talent, building a high-performance culture, and positioning Bearcat Tennis for regional and national success. With discipline, resilience, and opportunity at the core of her program, the future of Rust College Tennis is brighter than ever.
