Charone Williams joins Rust College as the Assistant Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field Coach. A graduate of Jean Ribault Senior High School (2001) and the University of Central Florida (2010, Sociology), Williams was a standout 400-meter hurdler at Auburn University.

Williams brings over 20 years of coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate levels. He began his coaching career at P.K. Yonge Developmental School in Gainesville, Florida, leading teams to three state championships, and later coached at Flagler Palm Coast High School, winning two additional state titles. He began his collegiate coaching career at the University of North Florida, later serving at Georgia Southern University, Coastal Carolina University, SUNY Buffalo, and Florida A&M University, mentoring numerous conference champions, regional and national qualifiers, and Olympic Trials participants.

Williams’ extensive experience and championship pedigree make him a key addition to Rust College’s coaching staff, where he will focus on developing elite cross country and track & field athletes.
