Damien Brigham joins Rust College as the Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field Coach. Originally from Dallas, Texas, Brigham is a Jackson State University graduate with extensive coaching experience at the collegiate level.

He began his career at Paul Quinn College and went on to coach at McNeese State, Coastal Carolina, Southern Illinois University Carbondale, and Alabama A&M. Throughout his career, he has developed numerous All-American athletes, including NCAA D2 Indoor Champion Dominic Smith, Lane College’s first All-American Joshua Bunton, USATF World Championships qualifier Jasmine Webb, USATF Junior Championship qualifier Kartavius Hamilton, and All-American Rinsldo Moore, who placed fourth in the 60-meter hurdles. Triston Joynes also represented Bermuda in the 2012 Carifta Championships in the 110-meter hurdles.
