Bio

Cooper joined the Bearcat staff in 2024 as an assistant with the Women’s Basketball team. Coming from a lineage of athletes, he was often described by his former coaches as small in stature but gifted with remarkable speed and agility.

A versatile athlete himself, Cooper continues to hold the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Powerlifting Record for the Boys Class 4A State Championship in the 114 lbs. weight class—a record that has stood for more than a decade. Over the course of his career, he also broke multiple records at the district, regional, north half, and state levels.

Dedicated to helping student-athletes grow both athletically and academically, Cooper emphasizes overall development as scholar-athletes. Beyond Rust College, he works as a personal trainer, designing individualized workouts and meal plans to help clients achieve their goals. One of his most notable success stories includes guiding a client to a 41-pound weight loss in just one month.

Cooper holds a degree in Computer Science and is currently pursuing a second degree in Business Administration.
