Men's Tennis unable to advance past regional semis, 10th-ranked Xavier
NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana — The A&M-Texarkana Men's Tennis season came to an end Friday in the semifinal round of the NAIA Regionals where the Eagles ran into host school and 10th-ranked Xavier. The Gold Rush handed the Eagles a 4-0 defeat, ending their season with a record of 14-10.
After dispatching Rust College (MS) by a 7-0 score in Thursday's quarterfinal round, the Eagles were leading on three courts against the Gold Rush when Xavier clinched the fourth and final point. A&M-Texarkana lost just one set against Rust and gave Xavier a fight, but couldn't win matches at the pace of their counterpart.
