Paragould, Ark.- The Lady Pioneers hosted number twenty-three nationally ranked in the NAIA Lady Bearcats of Rust College tonight in the Carter Activities Center. After a hot start to the season with two wins in Pensacola, FL against Trinity Baptist College and Pensacola Christian College the Lady Pioneer faced their first loss of the season at home by a stout Bearcat offense that overpowered CRC. Travia Woodruff opened the contest with a quick steal and followed it up with a bucket giving CRC the lead, woefully for the Pioneers this would be the only time they saw themselves on top in the contest. The Lady Bearcats quickly recovered and then created the separation that led to CRC's doom. Crowley's Ridge fought back but struggled to get shots to fall in their favor and were forced to watch Rust College add to their lead and ensure the Pioneers' demise. Reigiana Ward led the Pioneers in scoring with her 14-point effort. Brinley Morgan added a team-high 6 rebounds and 3 blocks in the loss.
