Lucky 7s: Bearcats Tie Wildcats 7-7 In Seven Innings

DALLAS, Texas – The Rust College baseball program did something that is becoming increasingly rare in America's Pastime, tying the Wiley College Wildcats in a 7-7 draw.

Jalin Thomas was the lone player in Blue and White to log multiple RBIs, bringing home two with his lone hit being a double and coaxing two bases on balls'.

Victor Clay had the other extra-base hit of the evening, also a double, scoring once.

William Stone Teague drove in a run and stole two bags as Khalil Robinson picked up a pair of walks.

Coach Bates' men wheeled around the diamond, swiping six bases, and only being caught once as Stone Teague, Tremaine Callaway, Calel Stephens, Elyjah Berry and Jesse Burton III all got in on the fun.

In the pitching department, Brytan Sampson got the starting nod and went a full five frames while averaging a strikeout per inning.

Johnathan Finch shut the door on the Cats with a perfect seventh as two of his three outs were on strike threes.
