Bearcats Slug Past Wiley In Hitter’s Duel

DALLAS, Texas – The Rust College baseball program recorded five extra base hits including the team's first two dingers of the year as they improved to 2-0-1 with a wild 16-15 triumph over Wiley.

Khalil Robinson and Elyjah Berry brought the lumber (metal?) to the yard, each delivering a ball over the fence to go along with four RBIs each. Robinson had a 2-for-3 night with a walk and scoring on all three trips to the bases while Berry unloaded juiced bags with a grand slam to account for his run production.

Tremaine Callaway picked up a pair of ribbies on an RBI single up the middle and tacked on another single.

Victor Clay was an on-base machine, possibly setting up an NIL deal with Wendy's as he went 4-for-4, scoring on three of those base knocks which included one double.

Daveyon Lavender contributed a two-bagger, an RBI, a walk, and a run scored plus Jalin Thomas made it all the way around to third during his lone hit on top of scoring thrice.

Anthony Harris Jr. earned the victory for the Bearcats with two-and-two-thirds innings of work as well as four whiffs.
