Jalin Thomas Has Big Day In Doubleheader Defeat

BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – The Rust College baseball program nearly mounted an improbable comeback in game two, scoring six unanswered runs to cut the deficit to two but Blue Mountain College prevailed in both matchups, 12-3 and 9-6 in seven.

Jalin Thomas provided nearly half of the run production on the afternoon, driving in four of the club's nine runs (44.4%) while hitting 4-for-7 (.571) with a solo home run plus four RBIs and two stolen bases.

Quincy McGraw picked up a pair of doubles in the opener and a run batted in during the nightcap.

Khalil Robinson logged an RBI double and scored once, William Teague had an RBI apiece in each contest, and Elyjah Berry snagged to bases in the first tilt.

It was a difficult day on the bump for the Baseball Bearcats, but Malik Berrien put his best foot forward, tossing two perfect frames including a punchout.

The Blue and White travel to Little Rock on Friday and Saturday for a four-game series at Arkansas Baptist for a pair of doubleheaders beginning at noon.
