Bearcats Benefit From 13 Buffalo Errors In Doubleheader Sweep

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Rust College baseball program put 28 runs on the board in one afternoon, nine of which were unearned, in a 14-8 and 14-2 demolition of Arkansas Baptist College.

The Bearcats continue to put a strain on the defenses with their base stealing abilities, swiping an absurd 21 bases in two games with 13 in game one by itself.

It would be unfair to single out just a few players for acknowledgement as it was a team rout in all senses of the word.

The offense cranked out ten hits in each contest, 12 total walks and eight extra-base hits (six doubles & two triples).

Malik Berrien (1-0) and Quincy McGraw Jr. (2-0) picked up the victories on the mound with six strikeouts over 7.2 combined innings.

Even the defense had its moment in the spotlight as they recorded only one error in the doubleheader which included a clean game two.

Coach John Bates' bunch will host Champion Christian on Wednesday at 3 p.m. for a single game in Holly Springs.
