HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. – The Rust College baseball program out-hit the Chargers (19-16) with eight extra-base hits including two long balls during a doubleheader split, 8-3 and 8-15.

The pair of homers came off the bats of Xavier Campbell in game one and Stone Teague during game two with the former's being a two-run tater while the latter was of the solo variety.

Outside of the long ball, Campbell scored twice in the nightcap while Teague went 2-for-3 (.667) with two RBIs, two runs scored, a walk plus a steal as he sat the opener.

Joseph Thomas received the win, hurling four innings of one-run ball to go along with a trio of strikeouts against Southeastern Baptist.

Malik Berrien hit .375 (3-of-8) overall, netting two doubles, three RBIs, and scored twice.

Mason Cade and William Baker were both flawless on the afternoon, combining to blank the Chargers in the run, hit, and walk columns as part of their 2.1 frames of work.

Jalin Thomas, Khalil Robinson, Jalin Demar, and Olin Evans all nabbed themselves two-baggers, racking up nine hits between them (9-for-19, .474) on top of five ribbies, three walks, plus two scores.

Game three of a nine-contest homestand takes place Tuesday as the first of three consecutive NCAA Division II schools invade Bearcat Field as the Christian Brothers Buccaneers visit for a 2 p.m. first pitch.
