Bearcats Use Three-Point Barrage To Blow By Magicians

HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. – The Rust College men's basketball program has clawed its way back to .500 on the season with a resounding 75-61 win over the NCAA Division II foe LeMoyne-Owen.


Coach Edward Newton's guys were firing on all cylinders both inside and outside the arc, converting 28-of-62 (45.2%) shots overall and a blistering 13-for-29 (44.8%) from three.


Leading the three-point parade was Keshon Tabb as all five of his made baskets came from long range which he translated into a game-high 19 points. The junior guard also led all participants with five assists while adding three rebounds and a steal to his ledger.


Ronald Strothers and Malik Anderson each drained three deep shots on the evening, combining for 24 points between them on 6-of-12 (50%) from downtown.


Other notables included the duo of Christopher Agbo and Devante Lanier who tied for the game's most rebounds at eight plus Wesley Anderson contributed four assists to his stat line.


The Blue and White get back to work on Friday at 3 p.m. when it hosts the East-West University Phantoms out of Chicago, Illinois.
