PANAMA CITY, Fla. – The Rust College men's basketball program knocked down ten three-pointers on the afternoon, but LSU-Alexandria rode nearly 30 points from A.J. Rainey to a 90-76 victory.
Coach Newton got most of his production via Keshon Tabb (19 points, 6 rebounds), Malik Anderson (17 points, 5 rebounds) and Ronald Strothers (11, 4 rebounds), combining for 47 of the squad's 76 points (61.8%) and 15-of-34 boards (44.1%).
Tabb also provided a game-best seven assists and six steals (LSU-A had 4 total) while Christopher Agbo topped the Bearcats with eight rebounds.
The Blue and White will take on LSUA's brother campus, LSU-Shreveport, tomorrow at 7 p.m. central time
