NEW ORLEANS, La. – With a doubleheader sweep over NCAA Division II LeMoyne-Owen last week, Rust College was awarded both conference player of the week accolades with Keshon Tabb taking the honor for the men and Katie Blackmon winning for the women.

Tabb, a junior guard from Richmond, Virginia, had a game-high 19 points and five assists while all five of his made field goals were three-pointers. He went 5-of-8 (62.5%) from downtown and added three rebounds plus a steal to guide the Bearcats to a convincing 14-point victory over the Magicians.

Blackmon, a junior center from Olive Branch, Mississippi, shot 57.1% from the floor (4-for-7), falling one point shy of a double-double. The Olive Branch High School graduate posted a game-high ten rebounds plus nine points, a steal, a block, an assist and made her only free throw attempt as the Lady Bearcats kept its record unblemished.

The Bearcats will host East-West University at 3 p.m. on Friday while the Lady Bearcats are coming off a huge victory over #15-ranked Lyon last night and now turn its attention towards hosting Arkansas Baptist following the men's contest on Friday.
