Bearcats Bounce Back With Victory Over PSC

HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. – The Rust College men's basketball program put a disappointing loss in the rearview mirror and pulled away in the second half to beat Philander Smith, 65-52.

Jordan Watkins came off the bench with the scoring spark, registering a team-high 16 points on 5-of-7 (71.4%) from the floor, a tied for a game-best seven boards plus a tied for game-high three steals.

Ronald Strothers matched Watkins in the rebounding department, contributing 11 points on the side.

Malik Anderson challenged Watkins the entire way for both the points and boards lead but fell one short on both accounts, posting 15 points and six rebounds plus two steals, an assist and a steal tacked on to his totals.

The men from Holly Springs will attempt to keep the good times rolling down in New Orleans on Thursday with a date with the Bleu Devils on deck.
