Hot Shooting Bleu Devils Burn Bearcats

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Rust College men's basketball program got a near double-double from Jordan Watkins and Keshon Tabb, but Dillard shot better than 50% from the floor and over 60% from deep during an 83-75 defeat.

 

Keshon Tabb put 11 points on the board and directly contributed to nine other buckets courtesy of assists, swiping two steals, and shooting 80% in the process.

 

Jordan Watkins came closer to the more traditional type of double-double, reaching the benchmark for rebounds at ten but falling one shy in the point department with nine.

 

Omar Gardner had himself one efficient evening in the Crescent City, averaging a point per minute en route to a team-best 17 points as well as five boards, two steals and two assists sprinkled in during his 17 minutes off the bench.

 

Terrell Jennings made his presence felt as he put together a stat line of 5-for-6 (83.3%) with 12 points, six boards and an assist.

 

Malik Anderson was the fourth and final Bearcat with double-figure points, notching 11 on top of four rebounds plus a pair of both assists and blocks.

 

The Blue and White return to the McMillan Center on Monday, February 7 for a date with the Tougaloo Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. in Holly Springs.
