Bearcats Start Slow In Loss At Texarkana

TEXARKANA, Texas – The Rust College men's basketball program had a rough first half which resulted in a 14-point halftime deficit as the Eagles beat the Bearcats, 89-69.

Davonte Craven logged his second double-double in his first five games for Coach Poindexter's team, posting game-highs of 22 points and 11 rebounds while topping the Blue and White with three steals and two blocks as well as a pair of assists and a 58.3% shooting night (7-of-12).

Keshon Tabb was the club's second leading scorer at 13 and secured a Bearcat-best four assists.

K'Lon Williams caps off the notable performers, dropping 12 points on TAMUT by going 5-of-8 (62.5%) from the court.

The Bearcats from Holly Springs wrap up the brief Texarkana Classic on Saturday afternoon in a neutral site tussle with Jarvis Christian at 4 p.m.
