HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. - The Rust College men's basketball program rode its big three of Jayden Stephens, Catthadious Moore, and Davonte Craven to its fifth GCAC victory of the season, 86-72 over the Knights of SUNO.
The men in Blue and White held the visitors to just two three-pointers over 16 attempts (12.5%), racing out to a 13-point advantage at the break and hanging on from there.
Stephens took the top spot among all scorers with 22, making half of his field goal tries (8-for-16) on top of seven boards, two steals plus a block.
Moore took charge of the paint, defending his territory with a Bearcat-best dozen rebounds and seven points.
Davonte Craven led everyone in blocks (4) and assists (3) to go along with a healthy 15 points, six rebounds, and two steals.
Fresh off clearance after transferring from Georgia Southwestern State, Christopher Hood dropped 13 points in his Rust debut while Jeremiah Maldonado put a ten-spot on the scoreboard as well.
