LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Rust College men's basketball program has now won five of its last six games in conference play and will battle the Bleu Devils of Dillard on Saturday for sole possession of third place after an 89-75 win over Fisk.
RC shot the lights out of Mims Gymnasium, knocking down 40% of its shots from long range (8-for-20) and 55.6% overall (35-of-63) as well as a +6 turnover margin.
Davonte Craven was a man on a mission in Little Rock on Friday, exploding for a team-high 24 points on 10-of-15 (66.7%) shooting with a Bearcat-best six rebounds and game-highs of both five assists and three steals.
Christopher Hood also dropped a 20-burger on the Bulldogs, converting 70% of his attempts and going a perfect 3-for-3 from behind the arc.
Jonathon Bentley joined the double-digit scoring party, missing one shot all afternoon (6-of-7, 85.7%) en route to 16 points, matching his playing time of 16 minutes.
Catthadious Moore was the fourth Bearcat to cross the ten-plus scoring threshold, putting together 13 points, four boards, a trio of assists and a steal on five buckets (5-for-8, 62.5%).
