Bearcats Season Comes To An End In GCAC Quarterfinals

JACKSON, Miss. – The Rust College men's basketball program had a chance to win the game with seven seconds left in regulation but the team's 13th and final turnover ended the threat in a 74-73 gut-wrenching defeat.

GCAC Newcomer of the Year and All-GCAC First Team selection Davonte Craven got a chance to shine one more time before entering the offseason, exploding for game-highs of 28 points, eight rebounds, and three blocks while posting a ludicrous 11-of-14 (78.6%) shooting line.

The only other Cat to reach double-digits in the points department was Ronald Berkley III, who got hot down the stretch run, capped off with 14 points and a trio of steals in just 19 minutes off the pine.

Catthadious Moore was really the only other Bearcat of note on the night, snatching more steals by himself (5) than the entire Wiley Wildcats defense (4).
