JACKSON, Miss. – The Rust College men's basketball program fell behind by 13 in the opening 20 minutes in the defending conference champions' Dawg Pound and were unable to fully recover in time, suffering a 70-58 defeat to the Tougaloo College Bulldogs on Saturday evening.

  • Khalil Brown fronted the scoring pack with an even dozen points, smoldering from the field with an 83.3% field goal percentage (5-for-6) and a pair of steals.

 

  • Christopher Hood was the other double-figure scorer, dropping ten including a perfect 4-of-4 from the charity stripe, five rebounds, and two assists.

 

  • Davion Miller tied for the game's most rebounds with six off the pine which included four on the offensive glass.

 

  • Xavier Evans seemed to be very fond of the number two on the night, making two field goals, snatching two rebounds, dishing out two dimes, and stealing two passes in addition to eight points.
