Men’s Basketball Takes A Loss On The Battlefield

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Rust College men's basketball program was defeated by Dillard on Thursday evening, dropping the tightly-contested matchup by a score of 70-62 inside what Bleu Devils affectionately refer to as The Battlefield.

Rust Top Performers: 

• Christopher Hood built off his clutch outing at Stillman by leading RC in points (14) and rebounds (5), knocking down half of his 12 shots in the process.

• Xavier Evans spent all but three minutes on the hardwood, accruing ten points on 4-for-7 (57.1%) shooting plus a quartet of boards, a team-high three assists and two steals, as well as the only blocked shot.

• Jalin Thomas produced a solid 11 for the scoreboard on top of three dimes, Jordin Jackson tallied four rebounds and three assists, and Davion Miller went 3-of-3 off the bench.
