MARSHALL, Texas – The Rust College men's basketball program had a tough go from distance, sinking just 2-of-18 (11.1%) from behind the arc as the Wildcats led the entire way for a 78-72 decision during the 2024 opener for both squads.

Rust Top Performers: 

• In his first game as a Bearcat, Marcus Wilson spent 30 minutes on the floor to record a debut double-double of a contest-best 13 rebounds plus ten points in addition to the club's lone block.

• Khalil Brown started off 2024 with a fireworks display, pouring in a game-high 25 points on 8-of-15 (53.3%) with seven boards, two assists, and a steal, all off the bench.

• Jordin Jackson dished out a match-most four assists on top of 13 points while Christopher Hood contributed 15 points as well as a Bearcat-best trio of steals.
