Bearcats Put Scare In Tougaloo, Bulldogs Ride Hot Shooting To Win
HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. – The Rust College men's basketball program nearly toppled one of the best programs in the conference on Saturday, however, the visitors shot 60% (30-for-50) from the court and 45.5% (5-of-11) from long range to escape the W.A. McMillan Center with a nail biting 77-75 outcome.

Rust Top Performers:
- Khalil Brown was the best player in the gym most of the day, shooting 53.8% on 7-for-13 for a contest-high 19 points and eight rebounds.
- Xavier Evans stepped on the floor as one of the starting five and proceeded to never leave as played the entire 40 minutes while contributing 13 points, a Bearcat-best three steals and the afternoon's only multi-block effort (2).
- Jordin Jackson logged a match-most four assists in addition to 14 points during a 5-of-10 (50%) showing.
- Catthadious Moore tied with Evans for the steals lead at three and just missed cracking double-figures in the scoring department with nine.
