Hood’s Late Free Throws Help Bearcats Hold Off Bulldogs
HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. – The Rust College men's basketball program fell behind 70-69 with 16 seconds left, Christopher Hood sank two clutch free throws four ticks later, then Fisk's game-winning three rimmed out at the buzzer as Coach White's crew enters the conference tournament as winners of three out of their last four with a 71-70 squeaker in the finale.

- Hood made his living at the charity stripe, scoring 11 of his Bearcat-best 13 points (84.6%) from the charity stripe while missing just one attempt in addition to a game-high three assists, a team-most two steals, and five boards.
- Sharing the scoring title for the Blue and White was Keron Bailey, pouring in 13 points over 11 minutes off the bench and five rebounds as well, shooting 4-for-7 (57.1%).
- Catthadious Moore posted his third consecutive double-double, making half of his 12 shots en route to 12 points and 11 rebounds, the latter a contest-high.
