BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – The Rust College cross country programs went approximately 30 miles east for its latest meet on Saturday morning, running the 5k (women) and 8k (men) on the campus of Blue Mountain Christian University.

 

The Lady Bearcats saw Lauren Warr finish among the top-half of the 63-person field, setting a new personal-record of 24:56.40 during her 31st place finish. Next to cross the line for Coach Vivians was Jazmine Riley, coasting to a new low speed of 28:52.40 en route to a top-40 placement. Sydney Dixon was the third of her Blue and White counterparts to complete the course at 31:54.48 (PR) while Roniyah Campbell concluded things in 34:23.92 (PR).

 

The men from Holly Springs were topped Javian Bogan for the second straight event, PRing by logging a speed of 32:48.65 which was good enough for 33rd out of 68. Jamerick Moton and Zachary Auguste were to follow with personal-records of their own at 41:49.43 and 43:39.95, respectively, with Jayden Gaye clocking out at 54:10.05.

 

The second annual Rust Invitational will take place this Saturday, October 7th on-campus so come out and support your Bearcats, cheering them onto the finish line!
