Rust Top Performers:
- Ayanna Williams had a Saturday to remember, winning her first career contest in the circle as the game two starter in addition to leading the offense with a .714 batting average, five hits over seven at-bats, five stolen bases, three RBIs and the team's lone double.
- Leona Joshua was the game one victor on the mound with an astounding 16 of her 21 outs (76.2%) coming courtesy of strike threes. Not to be outdone in the batter's box, she tied for the batting average crown with her fellow pitcher by also going 5-of-7 (.714) on top of a Lady Bearcat-best five runs scored, three RBIs, a pair of long balls as well as an inflated slugging percentage of 1.571.
- Haley Weatherspoon also went yard too, crossing home plate five times, hitting 3-for-7 (.429) with a trio of runs batted in, a steal and a walk.
- Julie Gammage legged out a big-time RBI-triple while Kendall Morgan reached base safely four times over six plate appearances (.667) to conclude the notables.
Next:
- The Lady Bearcats will experience a rare visit from an NCAA Division I program as the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions travel to Holly Springs for a twin-bill on Tuesday beginning at 2 p.m. on the campus of the Marshall Academy.
