Lady Bearcats Stomp Stillman, Extend Win Streak To Nine

HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. – The Rust College women's basketball program kept the pedal to the metal, receiving 29 points between the pair of Shay Johnson and Niya McGuire while making more than half of its field goal attempts (52.6%) in a beatdown of the Lady Tigers, 79-54.

The defense was lights out per usual, holding its ninth consecutive opponent below 60 points and limiting Stillman to just 10% from long range.

Shay Johnson fronted the Blue and White's offense with a game-best 19 points on 6-of-9 (66.7%) shooting and a team-high three assists with three boards for good measure.

Niya McGuire was perfect off the pine for Coach Jackson, swishing all five of her shots and joining Johnson with ten-plus points (10).

Jade Hill stood out among the Lady Bearcats in terms of rebounders, producing an RC-high six boards plus an assist.

Rust College will partake in its first true NAIA road matchup on Tuesday evening, traveling to Arkansas to battle the Crowley's Ridge Pioneers at 5 p.m. inside the Carter Activities Center.
