Lady Bearcats Snap Skid, Smoke Crowley’s Ridge

HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. – The Rust College women's basketball program got big contributions from veteran Jasmine Coleman and unsung hero Mariah Mitchell to halt its two-game slide and cruise back into the win column, 79-53.

Mitchell broke onto the scene in a big way on Thursday, busting through for a game-high 19 points on 7-of-13 (53.8%) shooting and 2-for-3 (66.7%) from downtown off the pine.

Coleman stuffed the stat sheet, producing 16 points, a game-best six steals, five boards, three assists, and three triples.

Shay Johnson continues to provide steady leadership and selfless qualities while logging the same number of assists as CRC (5) while Katie Blackmon went for a game-high eight rebounds.

The 25th-ranked ladies from Holly Springs will look to start a new winning streak on Saturday afternoon in Memphis versus the Magicians of LeMoyne-Owen College.
