Coleman Collects Another GCAC Player Of The Week

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Senior guard Jasmine Coleman continues to add accolades to her resume as the sharpshooter laid claim to her second GCAC Player of the Week award in 2021-22.

Coleman, a Ganado, Arizona native, averaged 15.5 points, 2.5 three-pointers, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.5 steals in victories over Arkansas Baptist and Wilberforce while shooting at a 45.8% clip from the field and 33% on long range shots.

In the tight win over the Lady Bulldogs, the 5-foot-9 stud a career day as she tallied a career-best 24 points on 8-of-13 (61.5%) attempts and four triples (4-for-9, 44.4%) while knocking down all four of her free throw opportunities.

Coleman and the rest of the Blue and White crew begin its title defense on Thursday, January 20 in Nashville, Tennessee against its newest conference foe; the Fisk Bulldogs; at 5:30 p.m. inside Henderson A. Johnson Arena.
