Lady Bearcats Display Defensive Domination In Blowout Of Tougaloo

HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. – The Rust College women's basketball program connected on 28 field goals and half of those were from distance in an 87-49 annihilation of the Lady Bulldogs.

 

Patsy Johnson fronted the three-point parade with four long balls on seven attempts (57.1%) and 6-of-11 in total (54.5%) for a game-best 19 points on top of five rebounds, three assists and a steal.

 

The other Johnson, Shay, was the second leading scorer of 16 points with a 66.7% field-goal percentage, a game-high five steals and five assists plus five boards on top of it all.

 

Bionka Massie put together 11 points as well while Niya McGuire (9), Karyn Ford (8) and Zoe Alexander (7) were the primary contributors to a plus-14 rebounding margin (52-39).

 

Coach Jackson's ladies wrap up its regular season non-conference slate with a trip to 2022 GCAC member Oakwood University on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in Huntsville, Alabama.
