Lady Bearcats Defense Beats Up Oakwood

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Rust College women's basketball program did not allow the Lady Ambassadors to hit double-digit points in each of the four quarters as it cruised to its 11th straight win, 64-30.

India Green topped the team with 16 points on 6-of-9 (66.7%) shooting while falling one board shy of a double-double in the process. She also provided a pair of both steals and blocks as well.

Behind Green on the scoring and rebounding spectrum was Maddie Riley at 14 points and eight rebounds as she went 7-for-11 (63.6%) from the floor plus an assist.

Shay Johnson did a little bit of everything, dropping 11 points, eight assists, four steals and four rebounds on OU.

Karyn Ford was the game's top rebounder as she corralled ten boards on top of five points.

Rust has a quick turnaround with a home matchup with Fisk at 5:30 p.m. on Monday before a defacto GCAC Regular Season Championship Game in Little Rock on February 19 at Philander Smith.
