TEXARKANA, Texas – The Rust College women's basketball program went as cold as the Mississippi weather at TAMUT, shooting just over 20% with only nine field goals in an unfortunate decision, 62-35.
Katie Blackmon dominated the glass with a game-high 12 rebounds and was the go-to scorer for Coach Jackson with a team-best nine points.
Amelya Hatch had a trio of assists, Lyric Turner stole two passes, and Shuntorri Rodgers swatted away a pair of blocks to account for the team leaderboard on the night.
Rust will not have to wait long to get another crack at the Eagles and attempt to clip their wings as Texarkana is up again on Tuesday in Holly Springs at 5 p.m.
