Women’s Basketball Dispatches Wiley From The Free-Throw Line

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Rust College women's basketball program was an astounding 28-for-31 (90.3%) from the charity stripe, helping the Lady Bearcats erase a three-point halftime deficit en route to a 12-point, 71-59 win.

In an extremely sloppy, turnover-filled contest (49 combined), points off turnovers was a key measurement as Rust cashed in 34 on Wiley miscues while the Wildcats only managed 14.

Three different student-athletes co-led the club in scoring as Taniah Bowers, Faith Cattouse, and Ky'Lie Scott all notched ten points.

Bowers claimed the title of game's top rebounder and shared the steals crown at nine and four, respectively.

Cattouse was one of the three Blue and White clad women with four steals along with Zoe Alexander.

The ladies conclude the first New Orleans pod exactly 24 hours after Saturday's tipoff versus the Lady Ambassadors of Oakwood University.
