CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Rust College women's basketball program fell to top-seeded Campbellsville during the Second Round of the NAIA National Tournament, dropping the contest 80-65.
RC had a one-rebound advantage (24-23) and a plus-five turnover margin (14 to 19) but the Tigers shot the lights out of the Powell Athletic Center, making 60.5% of its field goal attempts (26-for-43) to keep a safe enough distance where the Cats couldn't strike.
In her final game as a Lady Bearcat, Katie Blackmon recorded 13 points and a contest-best nine boards during a 5-of-7 (71.4%) outing to go along with two assists.
Shuntorri Rodgers was the top scorer for coach Jackson at 14 points with a team-high two steals and made half of her shots (5-for-10).
Taniah Bowers and Faith Cattouse each dropped an even ten points while also connecting on half of their combined attempts (7-of-14) as well as Niya McGuire collecting the game's only block.
