HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. – The Rust College women's basketball program faced its stiffest competition yet in a worthy but so far underperforming Faulkner squad, trailing at the onset of the fourth quarter before gutting out a victory, 74-69, on Thanksgiving eve.

Rust Top Performers:

 

  • Diamond Sweats was the only Rust player to score in the double-digits, connecting on a game-high three triples on his way to 15 points along with a Bearcat-best seven rebounds and five assists as well as a block.

 

  • Shuntorri Rodgers made up three of the contest's five blocks in addition to five points, four boards, two steals and a dime.

 

 

  • While Sweats was the only one to cross the double-figure output in the points column, a trio of Lady Bearcats; Niya McGuire, Zoe Alexander, and Karyn Ford; all came close with nine apiece on 10-of-17 (58.8%) shooting.
