Mighty Oaks Hand Lady Bearcats First Loss of the Season
KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The Rust College women's basketball program ran out of gas in the fourth quarter and fell for the first time of the 2023-24 campaign on Saturday at the NAIA The Show tournament, falling to the (RV) Oakland City Mighty Oaks in the hotel ballroom, 67-55.

Rust Top Performers:
- Diamond Sweats was the producer of more than one-third of the Lady Bearcats' offense on the evening, dropping a game-high 20 of the team's 55 points (36.4%) on 7-of-16 (43.8%) and going 5-for-7 (71.4%) from beyond the arc on top of four boards, two steals, and two dimes.
- Amelya Hatch was the top rebounder and assister for Coach Jackson at five and three, respectively, while being the second-best scorer with nine points.
- Blesseth Dillingham and Zoe Alexander were the steals co-leaders swiping three apiece to go along with Karyn Ford plus Niya McGuire contributing seven points each.
