Women Win A Defensive Duel At Stillman
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Rust College women's basketball program scored its lowest offensive output in more than a calendar year and still found a way to gut out a win on the road against a scrappy opponent, clawing tooth and nail to a rock fight of a 47-41 victory.

Rust Top Performers:
- Niya McGuire gave the Lady Bearcats its second straight double-double, notching exactly ten points and ten rebounds, the latter of which being a contest-high while also leading all participants with three assists plus a 55.6% field goal percentage.
- Diamond Sweats nearly had her second double-double in as many contests, settling for a Bearcat-best 11 points on top of eight boards and tying the team's title for most assists (3) as well as steals (2).
- The duo of Shuntorri Rodgers and Amelya Hatch each poured eight points into the pot as the former knocked down two three-pointers of the three collected on the evening.
Notes:
- The last time the Blue and White scored less than 50 points was on November 18 of the past season, resulting in a 62-35 defeat at Texas A&M-Texarkana.
- The two teams combined could not muster putting a mere 90 points on the scoreboard, but the clubs did force 46 turnovers and drew 35 fouls between the Tigers and Bearcats as defense ruled the night.
