NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Rust College women's basketball program weathered the storm after falling behind by ten in the first quarter and 12 at the halftime break, but Coach Jackson's bunch persevered primarily on the back of a 23-10 fourth frame as they remain unbeaten in GCAC play with a 81-72 road win against DU.

  • Musharapha Alhassan secured a massive double-double off the pine for Rust, amassing a game-high 11 rebounds plus ten points to go along with a contest-best three steals, sharing the crown with Amelya Hatch.

 

  • Diamond Sweats sank 6-of-12 (50%) on her way to a Lady Bearcats-most 17 points and a trio of assists.

 

  • Niya McGuire recorded a healthy 15 for RC, claiming a half-dozen boards in addition to a pair of dimes.
