HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. – The Rust College women's basketball program surrendered less than 35 points for the third time in its past six outings while obliterating the Bleu Devils on the boards (55-29) to wins its tenth consecutive matchup in the series, 68-33.

  • Niya McGuire, who usually excels as a reserve, got the starting nod and rewarded Coach Jackson with her second career double-double consisting of a team-high ten points plus ten boards (eight on offense).

 

  • Zoe Alexander was the other lady to hit that point total, also getting ten to tie for the team lead on 4-of-8 (50%) shooting plus five rebounds.

 

  • Musharapha Alhassan may have scored a pair of points, but otherwise, she seemed uninterested in the hoop and threw all her efforts into putting in post work, corralling 15 rebounds (9 offense, 6 defense) and the Lady Bearcats' sole block.

 

  • Diamond Sweats had the only steal of the night for RC on top of eight points while Kennedi Green fronted the contest with three assists in addition to five boards.
