Women Overpower SUNO In 70-Point Victory

HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. – The Rust College women's basketball program had its most ruthless blowout of the season, beating the SUNO Knights by 70 points while not allowing more than ten points per quarter in a 91-21 destruction.

Rust Top Performers: 

• Dekeriya Patterson was on fire from behind the three-point line, draining 5-of-6 (83.3%) from long range on her way to a contest-high 15 points off the bench in 13 minutes.

• Musharapha Alhassan continues to be a rebounding machine, pulling in another ten boards to top the Cats on top of six points and a block over 14 minutes.

• Diamond Sweats did a little bit of everything, dropping 13 points on five buckets (83.3%), nabbing six rebounds, handing out a match-most five assists, to go along with a steal and a swat each.

• Tying for the assists crown was Kennedi Green who also racked up five on the afternoon while Amber Scott (3) as well as Amelya Hatch (2) combined for five steals.

• Niya McGuire recorded a half-dozen points and Karyn Ford gave Coach Jackson a dime's worth with the latter shooting 5-for-7 (71.4%) overall.
