COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Rust College volleyball program had a tough day at the office, dropping all three sets to Fisk University at the MUW Owls Invitational.
Most of the club's 16 kills came in the first set as they recorded seven (43.8%) with just two errors for a respectable .278 hitting percentage.
Deja Campbell was the team's top attacker, getting halfway to double digits with five kills.
Setter Jelisa Alexander came up one assist and dig shy of a double-double, putting up nine of each on the Lady Bulldogs while serving up a squad-best three aces.
The Lady Bearcats have a tall task ahead of them as its next match comes on Thursday, September 16 at 6 p.m. at NCAA Division I foe Grambling State.
