Volleyball Defeated By Crowley’s Ridge

PARAGOULD, Ark. – The Rust College volleyball program had an off night at the campus deep in the Arkansas woods, dropping the match to the Lady Pioneers.

Michelene Coleman was both the club's best attacker and blocker on the evening, smashing a team-best six kills plus a game-high four blocks (one solo).

Jelisa Alexander had an efficient night with 13 assists, six digs, four kills and a .308 hitting percentage on 13 attempts with no errors.

The duo of Zanayah Myers and Deja Campbell made up nearly half of the Lady Bearcats' 60 digs, contributing 15 and 12 respectively, or 45% (27-of-60).

Following 13 consecutive non-conference matches, the Blue and White finally begin its GCAC slate on Thursday when Rust travels to Tougaloo College for a 6 p.m. first serve.
