NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Rust College volleyball program went down to the Crescent City to begin the GCAC Round-Up versus Wiley, dropping the first of three, 3-1.
Deja Campbell put forth a great defensive effort with a team-best 17 digs for an average of just over four per set (4.25) to go along with two aces from the service line.
Jasmine and Michelene Coleman shared the kills lead among their peers with eight, the former racking up 13 digs while the latter led the Blue and White with seven blocks on top of the offensive prowess.
Jelisa Alexander recorded 24 assists over the four-set match, giving her an even six per set average. She also had five digs, two kills plus a service ace.
