NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Rust College volleyball program took a set from Fisk University but was swept by the host Lady Bleu Devils on the final day of the GCAC Round-Up.
Jasmine Coleman led the offensive attack with a team-high 20 kills (2.86 p/s) on top of 17 digs (2.43 p/s).
Jelisa Alexander was her typical all-around player, putting together 47 assists (6.71 p/s), 15 digs (2.14 p/s), four kills, and an ace.
Deja Campbell was the team's top defender per usual, notching a Lady Bearcat-best 23 digs (3.29 p/s) as well as 13 kills (1.86 p/s).
The ladies are back in action on Tuesday night at 6 p.m. when they face the Lady Pioneers from Crowley's Ridge College.
