NASHVILLE, Tenn. / HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Rust College volleyball program were swept in the Music City to begin the weekend but paid it forward with a sweep of their own over Oakwood on Sunday afternoon as the ladies concluded its GCAC road slate.

Rust Top Performers:

 

  • Gabriella Gabriel put on a serving clinic on Sunday in northern Alabama, averaging two aces per set by collecting a half-dozen while leading the Cats with seven (1.17 p/s) over the weekend.

 

  • The Waco, Texas native also topped the team in assists (24, 4.00 p/s) on top of racking up 20 digs (3.33 p/s) in addition to eight kills (1.33 p/s).

 

  • Deja Campbell fronted the offense at 15 kills (2.50 p/s) with five digs and assists as well.

 

  • Annie Narvaez played hwe usual excellent defense with a Bearcat-best 37 digs (6.16 p/s) and the libero even tallied her fourth career kill at OU.

  • For the final time in 2023, the Bearcats will be inside the friendly confines of the W.A. McMillan Center against Tougaloo at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
