Tougaloo Snaps Four-Game Skid Against Lady Bearcats In Home Finale

HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. – The Rust College volleyball program had taken its past four matches against the Bulldogs from the state capital, but Tougaloo College got the best of them this time around, winning in straight sets over RC in their final home contest of 2023.

Rust Top Performers:

• Gabriella Gabriel led the Lady Bearcats with an even ten kills (3.33 p/s), notched the team's lone service ace, logged six digs (2.00 p/s), and swatted a block.

• Saraih Taylor had a stellar day at setter, averaging eight assists per set (24 total) with another five digs (1.67 p/s).

• Markeoni Thomas was the lone Cat to block multiple attacks on the night, taking down a pair by herself with two block solos plus four kills (1.33 p/s) out of the middle blocker position.

• Annie Narvaez was the only player on either side to reach double-figures for digs, going for 11 (3.67 p/s) on top of yet another libero kill, which she has been known to do quite often as of late.
