Annie Narvaez Recognized As All-GCAC Honorable Mention

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Rust College volleyball program embraced a full-on youth movement this season and at the forefront of that was sophomore libero Annie Narvaez, who was named to the All-GCAC Honorable Mention Team ahead of Monday's match with PSU.

Narvaez, a St. Petersburg College transfer, led the women from Holly Springs in both digs (318) and digs per set (3.28), ranking her fifth and seventh in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference, respectively.

The five-foot-six Colombian born defensive specialist helped stabilize a revolving door at libero early on into the campaign before ending the year with ten or more digs in her final four appearances and five of the last six (83.3%).

In addition to her defensive abilities, she collected 53 assists (0.50 p/s), 21.5 points (0.20 p/s), 16 service aces (0.15 p/s), a surprisingly high number of libero kills at five (0.05 p/s), plus a block assist.
