Cross Country Begins Season At Twilight Classic

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Rust College cross country programs got their campaigns underway late Saturday evening at the annual Memphis Twilight Classic.

 

Leading the way for the women was Amelya Hatch with a time of 24:30.68 during the 5k race followed by Lauren Warr (26:49.11), Jazmine Riley (32:48.64), Lyric Turner (33:05.18), Sydney Dixon (38:03.92), Ayanna Williams (38:04.68), and Julie Gammage (38:04.76).

 

The Bearcat men saw Ronald Berkley cross the finish line first in the 4-mile course at 22:56.15. Next was Jamerick Moton (24:19.59), Javian Bogan (26:58.19), Orion Kimp (28:42.12), Zachary Auguste (33:16.37), Avery Robinson (38:16.25), and lastly Jayden Gaye (40:25.00).

 

Back to Memphis for Coach Vivians and the student-athletes in their next meet which will take place at Shelby Farms for the Rhodes Invitational on September 16.
